The State of New York has a list of items which cannot be disposed of in a landfill. These items all fall into categories of hazardous waste, and they must be dealt with according to all rules and regulations. As such to offset the increased cost these items carry there is a schedule of fees of each unlawful item below.
Mattress: $30 ($20 charge for box springs)
Tires: $10 on the rim – Separate Pile
Tires: $5 off the rim – Separate Pile
Big Tires: $20 – Separate Pile
It is also important to remember not to overload the dumpster so that it stands taller than the walls of the bin. By overloading the dumpster it becomes a hazard on the road. If our driver feels that the dumpster is overloaded enough to be a hazard on the road we will take waste out of the dumpster.
